BB APAC scoops "Highly commended" at Mumbrella for Agency of the Year
Imagine being able to edit a creative live in front of an audience, based on their real-time facial reactions. That’s exactly what we did at Mumbrella Asia 360, alongside our partners Unruly. We explored the cultural nuances of two markets - Japan and Thailand, and edited the video in line with the EQ results of the crowd.
We loved the energy of our sold-out workshop over two days, which concluded with the Awards Dinner where our own Sophie Crowther was shortlisted as “Under 30 Achiever of the Year”, and our business was awarded “Highly commended” for “Independent Agency of the Year”.
Crowther concludes "For it to have even suggested by the team for me to enter into the Mumbrella Awards, let alone have been shortlisted was a huge honour. Despite not winning, I'm very grateful for the experience as it gave me the time and opportunity to actually realise all that I have achieved over the course of my career which, as I now know, can be very easy to forget or minimise in your head when you're in the day-to-day throws of work. I still have three years before this category closes for me, so watch this space…!"
2019 has been an incredible year for the team in APAC and as they look to 2020, they have their sights set on accelerating growth and focusing on Japan, South Korea and Thailand in particular. New markets on the horizon include China, India and Indonesia.
“This was such a fantastic achievement for 2019, we’ve grown rapidly as a business, won new clients and maintained an extremely high level of service and delivery - being recognised for this, whilst still being such a lean team, was unbelievable. This recognition sets us all up for bigger and better achievements in 2020. Thank you to my team in APAC for all your hard work and dedication to the business” - Caroline Campbell Troman, MD of APAC.
